I admire CookingLight.com for many reasons other than my love of cooking. The topics on this site are very easy to find and the site is also generally easy to navigate. I go on this website every so often if I am interested in trying a new dish. I also love this website because it has great party ideas. I have a big family and we always have birthdays, holidays, or some type of occasion that requires a family get together. Since they happen frequently, its becomes old to serve the same foods during every get together. I feel like this site covers the issues that a lot of cooks have; anything from quick meals to eating healthy to what type of cookware to purchase. Again I love to cook and think that I'm pretty good in the kitchen. So this site is also useful when I am trying to wow a date or friends of mine with a dish that "I just happened to whip up." My father is currently hospitalized. When he comes home, he is going to need to be on a diet of soups and soft foods. I already started making a list of the common foods that he could possible eat but ran out of ideas quickly. I found a recipe for Chicken and Barley Stew, which I tried just to see how it would taste. It came out FANTASTIC so it is definitely going on my list of things that he could eat. We also need to monitor his calorie intake among other things. I know its required by law but its also great that they include nutrition information right at the bottom of the recipes. I usually hate advertisements on web pages because they usually take up so much space and usually do not interest me. This site does not have a bunch of random ads running across the page. They have ads for ingredients found in some of the recipes along with recipes for that product. HOW GREAT IS THAT!!! This site really does sell their recipes with the pictures as well (not to mention that I love seeing pictures of food). I could go on and on about this site forever but I would rather you look for yourself CooKing Light.
